The BCAE offers a full spectrum of computer classes ranging from basic computer skills to program-specific classes. Learn or improve your skills with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel classes. Develop your eye for graphic design with classes in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Desktop Publisher, or build a website using Dreamweaver. The BCAE offers the Greater Boston community a variety of excellent and affordable computer classes!

Build your own website and blog easily. Business or personal sites.  Using Wordpress, you'll learn to build, edit, and customize your own website—without any knowledge of HTML. We'll learn both technical setup and creative customizations, tailoring our efforts to the interests and needs of the class. Students should be comfortable using a computer and the Internet. Students should expect an additional expense if they choose to purchase a website domain and host. Week 1: Setting up free WP site. Choosing a theme. Moving around the dashboard, blogs, planning your site. Week 2: Extend WP with Widgets, Plugins. Linking, Menu’s, Refining your Posts. Get creative on the computer! Adobe Illustrator is the premier program for creating illustrations and type effects for print design, web design, and desktop publishing. By the end of this beginner’s workshop, students will be able to create a poster using their new skills and will know the basics of file formats in in illustrator for print and web.
