Anne Stuart is a veteran Boston-based journalist and writing instructor. She has been a reporter for several daily newspapers and The Associated Press, a senior editorial staffer for several national magazines, including Inc. and Harvard Magazine, and writer or editor for many websites. Her work has won several regional and national awards. She has also freelancedpart-time or full-timefor more than 30 years. She has contributed to The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Newsday, The American Lawyer, Northeastern Magazine, American Way (in-flight magazine) and many other newspapers, magazines and online publications. She also writes, edits and produces content for many corporate clients. Since 2009, Anne has been an adjunct professor in the graduate communications program at Lasell College in Newton, and she previously taught occasional undergraduate courses at Northeastern University and Emerson College. For many years, she taught a weekend freelance-writing course at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, and she has led workshops at many other organizations and conferences. Anne received a bachelor’s degree in journalism and English from Michigan State University (double major, with honors) and a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where she specialized in the magazine program. She is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA).
