Christina Kach is an Industrial Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts who, through her love of exploring has realized that when it comes to wine, there is always more to discover and she wants to share her passion with the BCAE! Christina’s journey into wine education began on a trip to the Hunter Valley vineyards near Sydney Australia, where she learned the complexities in wine production; the importance of land, vineyard maintenance and winemaking techniques. When she returned home she immediately wanted to find resources that made wine learning easy and fun, reading numerous books, tasting hundreds of wines, attending 50+ classes and eventually passing the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 exam.
When asked how Engineering relates to wine Christina says “Industrial Engineering is all about the design and study of processes. So much of wine making, labeling and tasting follow processes; and if you learn these processes, it helps to simplify the world of wine”
As a Massachusetts native, Christina arrived in Boston attending Northeastern University and fell instantly in love! When not taking or teaching wine classes you can find her training for her next 10K or half-marathon, in the kitchen cooking or filling her playlist with fun podcasts.
