Kim Beaty

Kim Beaty has always had a passion for baking and a huge sweet tooth. Together this led her to an internship at Billy’s Bakery in NYC during her undergraduate studies in entrepreneurship at Northeastern University. This internship helped her make the decision to enter the food industry, and after graduating from Northeastern, she completed the Professional Pastry ChefÍs Diploma program at The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts to refine her skills, studying under Master Pastry Chef Delphin Gomes. From their she went on to work as the Assistant Pastry Chef at Formaggio Kitchen in Cambridge, baking everything from Orange Olive Oil Cakes to Pots de Cr_me to Formaggio’s well-know French Macarons. Kim now lives in Burlington, Vermont working as the General Manager of Shacksbury Cider. Among the many responsibilities of her job, she is still exercising her culinary skills by creating recipes, teaching pairing classes, and baking pastries for cider events. Kim believes the answer to the question, “Would you like dessert?”, should always be a resounding “YES!”
