Margery Eagan co-hosts Boston Public Radio with Jim Braude on 89.7 WGBH, Boston. She writes a weekly column for The Boston Globe and previously wrote the Catholic Spirituality Column for Crux, the Boston Globe’s website on Catholicism. In 2015 and 2016 Eagan received national awards from the Religious Newswriters Association for the best American commentary on religion.
Eagan previously wrote a news column for The Boston Herald and co-hosted, also with Braude, a radio talk show on WTKK-96.9 FM. She has also written for Boston Magazine and is a frequent guest on “Greater Boston” with Jim Braude. She began her newspaper career at her hometown paper, The Fall River Herald News and has also worked for The Standard-Times in New Bedford and The Burlington (Vt.) Free Press.
Eagan grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts. She was graduated from Durfee High School, attended Smith College and was graduated from Stanford University. She has three children and lives in Brookline.
