CourseGraphic This class is for the complete beginner. You will start by learning how to tame the sewing machine -- winding and loading a bobbin; threading and changing a needle; and stitching straight. You will also explore a world of textiles and learn how to tell apart different kinds of fabrics. While making a cozy pair of pajama pants, you will learn how to work with a pattern. Sewing machines are provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own if you have one. Expect to spend a little money on sewing tools and materials for the PJs. During the first class, we will talk about what to buy (and what not to buy). So don't miss the kick-off session, and please be prompt because we have lots of work to do.
